ORDERING A CUSTOM PORTRAIT: HOW IT WORKS

Choose your size.
Email me: rachaelrossman@earthlink.net - with info on the size you've decided on. Attach photo(s) to work from (see photo tips, below).
I'll send you an invoice for the deposit (sizes 11x14" and larger) or the entire amount for smaller sizes.
Once the deposit is paid and I have pictures to work from, I can start work on your painting!
Allow 8-12 weeks for completion; but if you have a specific deadline (birthday, etc.) let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I'll send you a photo by email when your painting is completed.
If you have a balance remaining, I'll send a second invoice.
Your painting will be dried, sealed and mailed to you when the balance has been paid. I insure all paintings and can provide a tracking number.

PAYMENT METHODS A deposit of half is due upon commission for pieces 11x14" and larger, with balance plus shipping due at time of completion. Paypal preferred. Payment for discounted portrait orders are due in full upon ordering. Fee for small portraits (5x7") plus shipping is due up front. GIFT CERTIFICATES Don't have a photo, or are you on a short deadline? You can buy a gift certificate! A WORD ABOUT COPYRIGHT When you purchase artwork from me (even a commissioned original,) copyright and reproduction rights are reserved by me, unless transferred in writing. My artwork may not be copied, reproduced, manipulated, or used in any way for commercial or personal use (stationery, holiday cards, coffee mugs, etc.) without my express written consent. All you have to do is ask. I'll probably say yes. You can, however, use images of my artwork on your blog for purposes of criticism, commentary and news reporting. Knock yourself out. PHOTO TIPS The best photos are clear, well-lit and are taken from an eye-level perspective (meaning, if the subject is shorter than you, not looking up.) I always advise people to send their favorite photos first! FRAMING AND CARE Your watercolor portrait will arrive flat and ready to frame. For best results, choose a UV-safe glass and acid-free mat. Also, remember this is a watercolor - even though it is sealed it should be kept from moist conditions to avoid damage.
