Do Over

I am so mad at myself right now. I’ve been working on a painting for the better part of the afternoon and it was coming along swimmingly. I was posting progress photos on Instagram. I was singing along with Broadway Soundtracks. I was sipping an iced mocha. I had decided to use traditional watercolor paper instead of my usual Yupo.

I got cocky.

I started to remove the masking fluid and realized that my efforts were also removing several layers of paper.

It was a rookie mistake, and now I need a do-over.

In the meantime, here’s a painting I managed to finish successfully.
