Who’ll Stop The Rain?
Last night, just as I was about to fall asleep, I admitted a deep dark secret to my husband.
I hate the sound of rain.
HATE IT.
I don’t find it calming, or peaceful. It doesn’t make me want to cozy up next to the fire or make soup from scratch. It makes me crazy.
When I was a kid I had horses and I used to feel so bad for them, outside. I also used to hate walking out to feed them in the rain. Or walking to the school bus stop in the rain. A few years ago our roof leaked and despite the new decking and shingles, I still don’t trust the thing. Oregon rain is very…insidious.
Yes, I find rain insidious.
I live in the wrong state.
